Judy earned her B.S.N. degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Nursing, and a B.A. in Education from India where she taught school. She and her husband Percy came to the United States to seek help for their severely handicapped child. The search for medical treatment for their son triggered her interest in nursing, and she applied to the School of Nursing at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Judy has worked extensively in geriatric nursing, and sees her work with addiction recovery as an extension of her calling. Judy and her husband Percy run the Assisted Recovery Centers of America, a St Louis, MI, based treatment center for alcohol and drug use disorders, where she is the Nursing Director.
