Carla Jones is a professional licensed counselor in addiction and substance use disorders based out of Taunton, Massachusetts. She was a lecturer for the American College of Addiction Medicine, and testified before the Massachusetts’ legislature’s Joint Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse in favor of Senate Bill 998, which would have created a model program at the Suffolk and Middlesex Houses of Correction to provide Opioid-dependent offenders with voluntary Vivitrol treatment. Her expert testimony was focused on the need to combine therapeutic counseling with pharmacologic modalities like Vivitrol in order to improve sobriety experience. Carla was directly involved with Dr. Kishore’s family support group, Mother Power.
